Topics: EU regulations referring to environment protection; EC draft proposal to replace regulation 3093/94; R22 phase out schedules issues for the EU air conditioning industry; the Kyoto Protocol: consequences for the refrigeration/air-conditioning sector; energy labels for refrigeration and air-conditioning equipment; leak tightness of centrifugal water chillers; inventory and prospective survey of emissions; environment protection by law or by the own interest of the users; Dutch regulations for reduction of refrigerant emissions: experiences with a unique appoach over the period 193-1998.
