Résumé

Overseas cold chain trends were reviewed, especially for China, India, and East and Southeast Asian countries. These trends were discussed from the viewpoint of social scientific studies with reference to the history of cold chain development in Japan and several socioeconomic indicators of Asian countries. Recent social scientific research trends in overseas cold chain were also reviewed.
