An approach to soil cryoremediation.

Résumé

Current techniques of remediation of soils contaminated by heavy metals depend on the specifications of these pollutants. On the other hand, remediation by artificial cooling or "cryoremediation" is a more general method which is able to handle heavy metals in dissolved and immiscible forms. The theoretical study of the solidification processes involved proves the feasibility of this method. Experiments on a small scale have to be realised to validate this theoretical approach.
