Groupe de travail - Les émissions et les données énergétiques dans le secteur du froid et du refroidissement (CREED)
Objectives of the working group
This working group (WG) is led by the IIR and the UNEP-led Cool Coalition.
The group's objective is to pool evidence from IIR and UNEP-led Cool Coalition, unify stakeholders, standardize terminology, collate existing cooling data, and develop resources and metrics to assess local emissions and energy consumption, supporting tracking of cooling emission targets and progress toward near-zero emissions by 2050.
The working group is led by the IIR and the UNEP-led Cool Coalition.
Work plan of the WG
- To support the Global Cooling Pledge – to track quantifiable progress towards sustainable cooling with Pledge Countries and contribute to the Global Watch report.
- To create and update an inventory of existing cooling data, develop a harmonized categorization of subsectors, provide methods for assessing emissions, and identify data gaps at the country level and for future scenarios.
-
Investigate and develop proxies for estimation
- To bring colleagues together in a forum to share activities, disseminate findings, and encourage countries to estimate emissions.
