Comparaison d'un modèle innovant de pompe à chaleur sous-refroidie fonctionnant au propane (R290) avec une pompe à chaleur au CO2 (R744) disponible dans le commerce pour la production d'eau chaude sanitaire du point de vue de l'installation.

Comparison of an innovative subcooled heat pump model working with propane (R290) with the commercially available CO2 (R744) heat pump for domestic hot water production from the point of view of the installation.

Résumé

Heat pumps working with propane have shown great improvement when working with subcooling being able to displace the leading position of CO2 heat pumps for DHW applications in the market. It was also observed that the water inlet temperature has such a great impact in the performance that having a high temperature entry increases global performance. European Project “Next Generation of Heat Pumps working with Natural fluids” prototype model is able to work with the optimized degree of subcooling in function of the secondary temperature lift at the condenser, being able to supply the demanded hot water from different net water temperatures with the less consumption of energy.
The working performance of the innovative prototype and a commercially available CO2 heat pump is performed using advanced simulation tool TRNSYS. The comparison is made from the point of view of the installation, analyzing the system global efficiency. The analysis is performed under an application of heat recovery considering a temperature of 20 ºC for a 20 multi-family houses of 1.98 people per house.
