Conception écologique des produits frigorifiques.

Ecodesign of refrigeration products.

Auteurs : MUDGAL S., BAIN J., LIPUT M.

Résumé

Following the establishment of the EU Ecodesign Directive (Directive 2005/32/EC), two preparatory studies focusing on commercial refrigeration equipment were launched. The first preparatory study (TREN Lot 12) analysed commercial refrigerated display cabinets and refrigerated vending machines, and was finalised in December 2007. The second preparatory study (ENTR Lot 1) was launched in December 2008 and is currently in progress, focusing on various commercial refrigeration appliances not covered by the first study. Results of the TREN Lot 12 study showed that combinations of improvement options allow primary energy reductions while decreasing the life cycle cost (LCC). Various scenarios (over a time horizon 2006-2020) were drawn up to illustrate quantitatively the improvements that could be achieved through the increased market penetration of ecodesigned products. ENTR Lot 1 will follow a similar methodology, and at the time of publication is initiating the analysis of base case products and improvement options.
