Dégivrage d'un meuble de vente vertical ouvert fonctionnant à basse température : quelles améliorations sont nécessaires ?

Defrosting of vertical low temperature open display case: what are the needed improvements?

Résumé

The Center for Energy and Processes has performed several measurement campaigns in food sales area of large supermarkets. Fake products have been installed in different locations of low temperature display cases and detailed instrumentation has been installed in order to measure the product, air and refrigerant temperatures as well as the electrical energy consumption. In addition to these field tests, laboratory measurements have been carefully performed in an open-type display case located in a climatic chamber. Energy consumption of heating wires installed in a number of locations, canopy honeycomb and shelves, represents a significant waste of energy due to the defrosting process. A new technical option permitting to avoid a rise in the temperature of cooling air during the defrosting process is presented and test results show the energy gains due to this new defrosting process using alternate cooling and defrosting on two parallel coils.
