Résumé

Guavas were fumigated with 20, 25, 30, 36 or 44 g/m3 methyl bromide for 2 h at 24 plus or minus 0.4 °C or stored at 1, 3 and 7 plus or minus 0.4 °C for 16 days. Cold storage at 1 or 3 °C for 16 days resulted in excessive chilling injury damage and lack of ripening compared with 7 °C. Significantly more bronzing and spotting were observed on guavas fumigated with 25 or 30 g/m3 methyl bromide than on those with 20 g/m3. However, that dose did not provide quarantine security.
