Résumé

The functional fluid, which consists of an oil-water mixture with an additive, is changed into an ice slurry by cooling with stirring. This article describes a new continuous ice slurry formation system. The characteristics of the ice recovery and ice formation processes were clarified. It was found that the sizes of the ice particles formed gradually became uniform and spherical with time, and then could grow up to 3.5 mm within about 10 hours. The parameters governing this ice formation were investigated.
