Évaluation expérimentale du nouveau mélange R744/R1270 dans une installation frigorifique transcritique.

Experimental evaluation of the novel R744/R1270 blend in a transcritical refrigeration plant.

Résumé

The phase-out of the non-environmentally friendly synthetic working fluids is pushing towards using natural refrigerants in all refrigeration or heat-pump applications. Nevertheless, natural refrigerants have different drawbacks that require new refrigeration systems compared to synthetic fluids, limiting their use to specific applications. Carbon Dioxide (CO2 or R744) is a clear example where advanced cycle configurations are required to enhance the COP performance of transcritical systems.
Since these configurations are expensive and complex, blending CO2 with other natural fluids for enhancing the COP performance results attractive in terms of low-cost and easy application.
Accordingly, this works tests the novel binary blend of R744 and R1270 (96/4% mass) in a transcritical refrigeration plant designed for a medium-temperature application. The results at three different heat
