Résumé

Taking into account the amount of information available, the author gives only a few examples of the advantages of new control products and systems. In a first part, he shows the possibility of taking advantage of the high calculation speed and the capacity of new microprocessors to integrate more functions into the same control or more control into the same plant. This makes it possible to simplify the system, increase its reliability and facilitate marked energy savings. In the second part, the author reviews monitoring and remote assistance systems, highlighting some new products which improve the ease of use.
