Résumé
FAO estimates that about 14% of all food produced is lost (about 400 billion USD) and 17 % is waste. Their worldwide greenhouse gas emissions, which are constantly increasing, are estimated to 4.4 Gt CO2 eq. It is estimated that 20 to 25% are due to breaks in the cold chain. The transport sector is responsible for around 14% of the worldwide greenhouse gases emissions and refrigerated transport can emit up to 10% additional GHGs. There is a real interest in optimizing the cold chain. In the transport sector, the interest is multiple: reduction of the thermal conductance, increased space or decreased weight, and therefore a possible reduction in GHG emissions. Solutions have been considered replacing the usual insulation (which have a global warming potential because of the blowing agent of the foam) used in transport boxes. This work focuses on different alternatives for replacing conventional thermal insulation of containers.
