Résumé

This report summarizes the national climate change programmes of EU member states, and of the EU itself, setting them in the context of national energy circumstances and policies and related political debates. For each country, the chapter includes the background to energy developments (electricity and district heating, industrial, transport, residential, commercial or agricultural and forestry sectors) and individual country profiles for reducing emissions and climate change (See also IIR Bulletin, ref. 2000-1099, and this Bulletin, ref. 2000-1656.)
