Résumé

The United States market for marine nutraceuticals includes dietary supplement products such as fish oils, shark cartilage, shark liver oil and recently, more sophisticated fatty acid products and enzymes. These products have been marketed for the relief of arthritic symptoms, cardiovascular support, brain/nerve development in infants, and shark cartilage specifically for its angiogenesis properties in cancer therapy. They have been developed for both humans and pets.
