Résumé

Work proposes H2-SCC-CBS-RB&JT and He-SCC-CBS-RB&JT cycles for H2 and He, etc. liquefaction. It couple synergic Reverse-Bryton (RB) and Joule-Thomson (J-T) cycles, operated by He and gas to liquefy and boosted by Coabsorbent (CBS) technology. CBS uses truncated cascades heated by free condensing Steam Rankine Cycle (SRC) plants to produce effective Ultra-Low Temperature Refrigeration (ULTR). ULTR achieves gas precooling prior multi-stage compression and the Thermal-to-Work Recovery Compression (TWRC). TWRC, provided with Rankine Recovery Cycles and Sub-sink Compression Cooling, applies in compression inter-stage. Improvements are: i) permanent CBS-ULTR supply by SRC link; ii) re-designing. Model results are: i) He and H2 specific liquefaction work decreases up to (1.25-0.6) kWh/kg and (1.05-0.5) kWh/kg using H2- and He-SCC-CBS-RB & J-T plants, at 𝑇𝑎𝑚𝑏𝑖𝑒𝑛𝑡=300 𝐾; ii) RB He-H2 heat exchange works well; iii) reduced liquefaction work of He and H2 cryogenic fluids may help reconsider achievement of low-critical temperature and cheaper electrical superconductors materials, e.g. Nb, 𝑇𝑐,𝑁𝑏=8,31 𝐾, and Nb3Ge, 𝑇𝑐,𝑁𝑏3𝐺𝑒=23,2 𝐾.
