Résumé

A long-term study on egg quality was conducted in north Queensland from November 1991 to November 1992. Oiling within 24 hours of lay and constant refrigeration (6 deg C) maintained quality for seven months. A short-term study in 1992 demonstrated that oiling within 24 hours of lay was superior to oiling later when eggs were stored in various combinations of storage temperatures. Air-conditioned storage showed little advantage over storage at ambient temperatures in a tropical climate.
