Recherche pour permettre le fonctionnement efficace d'un système d'accumulation de glace utilisant un hydrogel: accumulation de glace sans CFC.

Research for effective operation of ice storage system using hydrogel: CFC-free ice storage.

Auteurs : MORI H., HONGO K., YAMAMOTO K., et al.

Résumé

The gel ice storage system enables direct water evaporation from the ice storage substance, water absorbable polymer gel, to freeze by releasing the evaporation heat under an applied vacuum of 0.4 to 0.6 kPa. Discharge of the stored energy (thawing) is also performed by direct heat exchange with water flowing through the storage system. Thawing was performed with four packing dispositions and several circulating water flow rates. Horizontal column gel packing, which has a high ice packing factor (52%) and a large specific surface area (198 m2/m3), produced chilled water at a low temperature constantly and showed high mean output. A simulation of the phenomena was performed.
