This jubilee book was commissioned by Royal GEA Grasso Holding on the occasion of its 150th anniversary. In addition to history it contains examples of major projects the GEA Refrigeration carried out in the past. Extract from the table of contents: 1858-1896 (optimum use of natural gas through cooling); 1896-1937 (fresh vitamins from South Africa); 1937-1958 (fresh snow in the desert); 1958-1992 (clever cooling saves energy); ever since 1992 global and to the top; heat pump stores heat in soil; the future belongs to sheet steel); refrigeration (technology has got a successful future).
