This publication, which was distributed during the World Summit for Sustainable Development, Johannesburg (South Africa), August 26-September 4, 2002 (see also this Bulletin, references 2003-0535 and 2003-0536), provides a useful overview of activities, research, products and policies related to climate friendly technologies and their transfer. Extract from the table of contents: enhancing technology transfer (efforts being made to enhance Article 4.5, of the Convention on Climate Change, which encourages the transfer of climate friendly technologies); sustainability (this section looks at the areas of water, energy, health, agriculture and biodiversity); case studies and profiles from companies, organizations, governments and institutions, worldwide. The publication contains the IIR Statement "The refrigeration sector's commitment to sustainable development and mitigation of climate change".
