Résumé

The steady-state superconducting tokamak, SST-1, being commissioned at the Institute for Plasma Research, India, consists of 16 toroidal field- and 9 poloidal field magnets made of NbTi superconducting wires. The superconducting magnets are operated at 4.5 K, 4.0 bar and cooled by supercritical helium. The integrated flow distribution and control system consisting of valve box and cryogenic transfer lines connects the refrigerator, LHe storage dewar and current lead assembly chamber to the magnets and controls the coolant flow and other parameters during cool-down, normal operation and emergency operations.
