Transfert de chaleur et consommation d'énergie d'un échangeur de chaleur à surface raclée.

Heat transfer and power consumption in a scraped surface heat exchanger.

Résumé

Experiments were performed for cooling corn syrup water solution as a process fluid flowing in a typical scraped surface heat exchanger. The local heat transfer coefficient and the power consumption were measured by varying the flow rate of process fluid, the rotational frequency of the scraper blade and the viscosity of corn syrup water solution for three kinds of scraped angle, respectively. In addition, the fluctuation waveform of pressure on the scraped wall and the temperature distribution of the radial direction in the process fluid were measured simultaneously. From these experimental data, the effects of Prandtl number, axial Reynolds number and Reynolds number of rotation on Nusselt number and Power number were examined, including the data in the case of non-scraping or non-cooling. As a result, the characteristics of heat transfer and power consumption in a scraped surface heat exchanger were clarified and correlations between Nusselt number and Power number were proposed.
