Résumé

Air cycle refrigeration has been installed in two purpose-built supermarket display cabinets, a chilled multideck and a frozen well, to satisfy standard performance specifications. Problems of condensation and icing of high frequency noise, arising from the use of turbo-machinery, have been overcome. These cabinets are shortly to be installed in a supermarket to assess customer reaction.
