Résumé

The major applications of CO2 are three areas: heat pump water heaters, mobile air conditioners, and cold storage and food freezing units. In this paper, the future application of refrigerant CO2 in cold storage and food freezing units is discussed. In supermarkets oversea, it has been adopted and used successfully. In our country, as the process of R22 phase–out is accelerating, it is believed that the CO2 refrigerant systems will appear in Chinese supermarkets in the near future.
