Résumé

This issue of "Acta Horticulturae" contains the 57 papers of the symposium co-sponsored by the IIR, held in Warsaw, Poland, August 3-7, 1997. Themes: preharvest factors: cultivars, nutrition, environment, cultivation techniques; harvest and postharvest factors: maturity indices, non-destructive methods of quality evaluation, postharvest treatments, handling; other techniques: mechanical and electromagnetic calculation. Some of the articles will be abstracted in a future issue of the IIR Bulletin.
