Résumé

The quality of orange cv. Tarocco, treated preharvest with GA3, followed by storage at either 4 or 8 °C, was compared with that of untreated fruit. Treated oranges proved more resistant to moulds. After 30 days storage, no fruit showed symptoms of cold damage, but after 60 days, treated fruit proved more resistant. Differences in acid content and soluble solids were minimal, but the colour tended to darken after 30 days storage in both GA3-treated and untreated fruit.
