Résumé

Knowledge of the ice concentration and, hence, of the cooling capacity of an ice slurry is of great importance to the operation of ice slurry systems. The physical properties that can be used to determine the ice concentration are described, as well as the measuring principles based on them. Each measuring principle is evaluated as to its accuracy, applicability, availability and price.
