Résumé

This report also forms part of the UNEP review pursuant to Article 6 of the Montreal Protocol on ODP. There are chapters on application areas and on refrigerants, one chapter on refrigerant conservation and an annex, which gives historic data on refrigerant production and consumption. Application areas: refrigerants; domestic refrigeration; commercial refrigeration; large refrigerating systems (industrial, cold storage and food processing); transport refrigeration; air conditioning and heat pumps (refrigerant-to-air); chillers; vehicle air conditioning; refrigerant conservation. In the annexes: recent global production and consumption data for fluorochemicals; glossary; physical, safety and environmental data for historical, current and candidate refrigerants.
