Résumé

In a US supermarket, the standard R22 and R507 compressor racks have been compared with new secondary coolant systems. Equivalent display cases, evaporators in the walk-in coolers and freezer, and air-cooled condensers have been used. The calculations show that despite an increase of 31.5 hp the use of the secondary coolant system results in a 1.5% energy saving in comparison to the direct expansion refrigeration system.
