Validation des programmes de prévision de la charge thermique et de la consommation d'énergie dans une laiterie industrielle.

Validation of computer programs for predicting heat loads and power consumption in a city milk refrigeration plant.

Auteurs : PHAM Q. T., BULL R.

Résumé

A set of programs has been written for calculating refrigeration requirements in dairy factories. Tests were conducted at a dairy factory to validate the program's predictions. For each individual application (refrigeration user), variables such as product flow, product composition, temperatures of product entering and leaving, room temperature and humidity, etc., were recorded and used to calculate the heat load. These heat loads were compared to experimental heat loads determined by measuring the flow and temperature change of the glycol refrigerant. The program's predictions were accurate to within 15% (probable error 6%). The applications were then assembled and the total plant heat load and engine room power consumption calculated. Because it was impractical to monitor simultaneously all the applications in the plant, only mean and maximum predictions could be made, which differed at most by about 20%. The measured power consumption fell within the predicted range.
