Free Workshop at ICCC 2022: Carbon reduction opportunities for the food chain

Open to all, this workshop is organised as part of the IIR Conference on Sustainability and Cold Chain to take place online on April 11-13, 2022.

 

This workshop will explore what is being done to address the challenges faced so carbon neutrality can be achieved by 2050.

 

The food chain is estimated to produce 20-40% of total global greenhouse gas emissions. With many countries developing carbon reduction strategies, the food chain will have a significant role in reducing emissions and enable countries to achieve these pledges.

 

This workshop will present information from research projects working to move the food chain towards a sustainable future. It will also explore what is being done to address the challenges faced so carbon neutrality can be achieved by 2050 in the food industry.
