Inter-industry event -  How a ship and cold chain technology led to a global revolution

 

Charles Tellier, French inventor and pioneer of refrigerated transport, regarded as the ‘Father of Refrigeration’, was instrumental in shaping the cold chain and opened up new sea routes for perishable goods and temperature-controlled products to France!

 

We will be celebrating him in Rouen on Thursday 4 November 2026, alongside the French Maritime and Port Union (UMPF) and the Rouen Port Union (UPR66).
