STATISTICS ARE GIVEN IN TABULAR FORM, BROKEN DOWN BY INDIVIDUAL FRUIT OR VEGETABLE, YEAR, AND COUNTRY OF ORIGIN. FROZEN-FRUIT IMPORTS ROSE BY 35 % FROM 1989 TO 1990, WHILE FROZEN-VEGETABLE IMPORTS WERE UP 15 %. MUCH OF THE INCREASE WAS DUE TO GERMAN UNIFICATION. THE STRONGEST GAINS WERE SHOWN BRUSSELS SPROUTS, BROCOLI, SPINACH, CAULIFLOWER, BLACKCURRANTS AND HUCKLEBERRIES. M. C.
