Summary
Precise temperature measurement is essential for most of the cryogenic cryostats, cooling devices or refrigeration plants. The sensor type has to be chosen carefully regarding accuracy, stability and reproducibility. A sensor calibration can significantly improve these parameters. A simple calibration device for standard cryogenic temperature sensors has been designed and constructed. It can be applied to most sensor types (e.g. Pt, RhFe or silicon diode).
