A simplified criterion for evaluating the minimum contribution to the "greenhouse effect" of a vapour compression system.

Summary

In order to improve the accuracy of the TEWI calculation, the authors show a simplified criterion for evaluating the minimum contribution to the "greenhouse effect" of a vapour compression system. This criterion is applied to some general cases by means of a graphical method pointed out by our research group. The criterion is based on grouping the independent variables which influence the final evaluation of the TEWI. Then charts have been drawn and employed for a quick evaluation of the environmental impact of the system in the cases examined.
