IN MANY EXPERIMENTS THE DIRECTUSE OF A STORAGE DEWAR FOR LIQUID NITROGEN OR HELIUM OF 50 MM NECK DIAMETER REPRESENTS A GREAT SIMPLIFICATION. THE PAPER DESCRIBES AN IMMERSION VACUUM CRYOSTAT OF 45 MM OVERALL DIAMETER, WITH THE FOLLOWING MAIN FEATURES: TOP LOADING OF EXPERIMENTS UP TO 25 MM IN DIAMETER AND 120 MM IN LENGTH ; BUILT-IN WIRING WITH CRYOGENIC CONNECTOR ; BUILT-IN ADSORPTION VACUUM PUMP ; ISOTHERMAL REGULATED SHIELD FOR HIGH TEMPERATURE UNIFORMITY. MEASUREMENTS OF SEALED FIXED POINTS FOR ITS-90 REALIZATION AND MAGNETIC MEASUREMENTS WITH HALL PROBE ON RARE-EARTH PERMANENT MAGNETS ARE DESCRIBED.
