Summary

THE METHOD IS BASED UPON PRECISE COMPUTER SIMULATIONS AND STANDARD METEOROLOGICAL DATA. AIR CONDITIONING LOADS ARE NORMALLY COMPOSED OF SEVERAL COMPONENTS AND EACH HAVE A PARTICULAR FEATURE AND MAY BE SPECIFIED BY A CHARACTERISTIC QUANTITY X WHICH IS SELECTED FOR ONE OF THE LOAD COMPONENTS, WITH THE SEASONAL LOAD Q BEING CALCULATED FOR GIVEN VALUES OF X WITH THE ASSUMPTION THAT ONLY ONE LOAD COMPONENT PREVAILS IN A REFERENCE ROOM. A CURVE REPRESENTING THE RELATIONS BETWEEN Q AND X HAVE BEEN DETERMINED AND A SIMILAR PROCEDURE HAS BEEN REPEATED FOR ALL THE OTHER LOAD COMPONENTS WITH RELATED CURVES. ESTIMATED VALUES ARE IN FAIRLY GOOD AGREEMENT WITH THE COMPUTER SIMULATIONS.
