A simulating calculation on room temperature magnetic regenerative refrigeration.

Author(s) : XIA Z. P., LU D. W., JIN X., et al.

Summary

Simulating calculations on the magnetic refrigerator (MR) based on active magnetic regenerator (AMR) were presented. The results in different operating conditions were also presented. It was found that the cooling capacity varies obviously under different working conditions, e.g., different operating temperature ranges, different magnetic field strengths, or different heat transferring fluids. In addition, as an optimized method, the variable cycle operating mode was also introduced to compare the cooling capacities of the MR, which has shown an obvious advantage over the fixed cycle operating mode.
