Summary

Regulations concerning the thermal characteristics of recent buildings are due to be published in the French Official Journal in May 2005, and to come into force over the summer. These regulations now take cooling into account and attempt to curb its use. The aim is to improve the energy efficiency of new buildings by 15%.
