A SIMPLE TECHNICAL DESIGN OF A PELTIER COLD BOX (SOLID STATE REFRIGERATION) WAS WORKED OUT FOR BISMUTH TELLURIDE THERMOELEMENTS. THERMOELECTRIC DATA CORRESPONDING TO BISMUTH TELLURIDE WERE DERIVED USING FUNDAMENTAL MATERIAL PARAMETERS. A THEORETICAL ANALYSIS TO EVALUATE THE BEST COOLING PERFORMANCE WAS CARRIED OUT.
