Summary
A THERMAL TESTING METHOD FOR CRYOPROBES IS BASED ON THE COMPARISON BETWEEN A THERMAL FIELD GENERATED IN A MATERIAL SPECIMEN BY AN ACTUAL CRYOPROBE AND THE THERMAL FIELD THAT WOULD BE GENERATED UNDER THE SAME CONDITIONS BY AN < IDEAL > CRYOPROBE, WHOSE ACTION IS DEDUCED BY A MATHEMATICAL MODEL OF THE PROPAGATION PHENOMENA OF THERMAL ENERGY. EFFICIENCY INDICES OF THE CRYOPROBES ARE INDIVIDUALIZED AND, IN PARTICULAR, THE < COEFFICIENT OF THERMAL PERFORMANCE > IS DEFINED. SOME NUMERICAL EXAMPLES ARE PRODUCED.
