Actuator sizing.

Author(s) : AMUNDSON C. R.

Summary

When considering which actuator to use for an application, engineers rely on information from the manufacturer. For valve actuators this information is given in terms of differential pressure for a specific valve that the actuator can close off against. For damper actuators it can be either square feet of damper area or a torque value in inch pounds. The article explains how these values are determined.
