Summary
In the present paper an original thermodynamical model of heat and mass transfer manifesting at the air-solid desiccant interface of regenerative adsorbers is proposed. The results of the computer simulation allowed to obtain the temperature and humidity/water content profiles for air and solid desiccant along axial and angular directions and the evolutions of the outlet average parameters for both two agents. The proposed model was used for preliminary estimation of the adsorber performances, for different operating conditions and design parameters and to study the possibilities of improvement its drying capabilities.
