This report was drawn up in the framework of a work programme of the International Energy Agency. Several countries participated in it: Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Germany, Finland, France, Italy, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom and United States. Ventilation needs are evaluated as a function of various parameters, and common and advanced ventilation plants are described. Design considerations are given, as well as national standards.
