Summary

In building facilities and systems, you cannot expect to reduce energy consumption without considering an adequate use of insulating materials. The right use results from having good knowledge of the physical and chemical features of insulating materials on which depends their performance, as well as the rule for fitting such insulation properly. This article tackles all these subjects, also in the light of current laws, and ends with a list of new materials which are only recently on the market and are still in an experimental phase.
