Summary

AFTER RECALLING THE 2 MAJOR PRINCIPLES OF AIR DIFFUSION, THE CHARACTERISTICS OF THE ISOTHERMAL FREE JET ARE DEFINED. IN AIR CONDITIONING, THE CASE DOES NOT EXIST AND TEMPERATURE EFFECTS MODIFY AIR DISTRIBUTION. THE CEILING OR COANDA EFFECT REDUCES THE FLOW RATE OF THE AMBIENT AIR AND INCREASES THE THROW. THE GEOMETRY OF THE ROOM, FURNITURE, THE AIR TERMINAL DEVICE POSITION, HEAT EMISSION, ETC, HAVE AN INCIDENCE ON THE JET AND IT IS SOMETIMES NECESSARY TO CARRY OUT LABORATORY TET. FINALLY, THE DIFFUSION GRILL AND DEFLECTION DEVICES ENABLE ONE TO MODIFY THE JET CHARACTERISTICS. J.L.
