Summary

THE ITERATION PROCESS IS PROPOSED AS A METHOD THROUGH WHICH ACCURATE HEAT BALANCE EQUATIONS CAN BE DIRECTLY SOLVED. THIS METHOD IS SUPPOSED TO CONTAIN FEW ADVANTAGES AS COMPARED WITH THE MATRIX METHOD. IN THE STUDY, THE ITERATION METHOD HAS BEEN EMPLOYED IN SOLVING THE HEAT BALANCE EQUATIONS OF THE SPACE FOR TWO CASES, IE, WHEN THE SPACE IS HEATED SEPARATELY BY A WARM AIR HEATING SYSTEM AND/OR A RADIANT HEATING SYSTEM. ALTHOUGH THE GEBHART ABSORPTION FACTOR METHOD HAS BEEN APPLIED IN THE CALCULATION OF RADIANT HEAT EXCHANGE, COMPUTATIONS OF THE ABSORPTION FACTORS HAVE BEEN ACHIEVED VIA SIMPLE ALGORITHMS USING THE ITERATION METHOD AND NOT THE MATRIXMETHOD.
