ANALYSIS OF HEAT FLOWS IN BUILDINGS.

Author(s) : KAMAL S., BUTALA V.

Summary

WITH THE AID OF THE COMPUTER PROGRAM KGHLOS, 2 TYPES OF BUILDINGS WERE ANALYSED: ATRIUM HOUSES AND BLOCKS OF FLATS. HEAT LOSSES IN A BUILDING WERE COMPUTED WITH AND WITHOUT TAKING INTO ACCOUNT LINEAR HEAT TRANSFER COEFFICIENTS. THE RESULTS SHOWED THAT THE LINEAR HEAT TRANSFER DOES NOT BASICALLY AFFECT THE TOTAL HEAT LOSS IN A BUILDING, WHILE, HOWEVER, IT HAS TO BE CONSIDERED AND ANALYSED FOR PREVENTING THE OCCURRENCE OF WATER VAPOUR CONDENSATION AND HEAT BRIDGES.
