Summary

THE ARTICLE SURVEYS THE EFFICIENCY OF HEATING AND COOLING CYCLES. A MODEL OF AN ABSORPTION MACHINE USING AN AQUEOUS SOLUTION OF LITHIUM BROMIDE IS USED TO ASSESS THE DEPENDENCE OF THE CONDENSING TEMPERATURE, EXERGETIC EFFICIENCY AND COOLING CAPACITY UPON THE TEMPERATURE OF THE MEDIUM HEATING THE GENERATOR, THE ABSORBER COOLING MEDIUM AND EVAPORATING TEMPERATURE. CALCULATIONS HAVE SHOWN THAT IT IS POSSIBLE TO EMPLOY A LITHIUM BROMIDE ABSORPTION MACHINE TO PROVIDE THE THERMAL ENERGY FOR HEATING-AIR CONDITIONING AS WELL AS PRODUCE ECONOMICS IN ENERGY CONSUMPTION.
