Summary

Two novel co-axial nonmagnetic and nonmetallic miniature pulse tube cryocoolers for low noise high-Tc SQUIDs operation have been designed and fabricated. All the components of the coolers are completely made of non-metallic, non-magnetic and electronically insulating materials to reduce the local magnetic fields and eddy currents originated from the cryocoolers themselves. The preliminary test results are reported and the cooling performances of the coolers are evaluated. Further research and cryogen-free operation of high-Tc SQUIDs integrated with the coolers are currently underway.
