This article is devoted to the problem of designing air conditioning and refrigeration supply systems for artificial skating rinks in closed areas. The requirements with respect to ice characteristics vary according to the type of sports competition. York International has developed unconventional ice-making equipment and air-conditioning systems for skating rinks.
